Trinity Shakespeare Festival
TCU is home to the Trinity Shakespeare Festival, an Actor’s Equity professional summer repertory theatre where TCU students are hired each year to work side-by-side with professional actors, directors, and designers to create acclaimed Shakespeare productions. The 2018 festival will feature Twelfth Night, or What You Will and The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet running in rep, June 19-July 8.
Twelfth Night is considered by many to be Shakespeare’s greatest comedy. The story of twins, Viola and Sebastian, making their way, separately, through a new and strange land. Romeo and Juliet is Shakespeare’s signature work of love and passion. Shakespeare’s most memorable characters are revealed in this breathtaking and sweeping look at young love gone awry.
Twelfth Night will play in Hays Theatre, while Romeo and Juliet will play in Buschman Theatre. For a full schedule of events, go to the festival website.
