There will be some high-quality celebrity gazing at the 2nd Annual Celebrity Bowling Classic, an evening featuring local sports celebrities and bowling to support the ALS Association of Texas. Hosted by Dallas Cowboys legend Tony Dorsett, participants bowling for a good cause will include “Mean” Joe Greene, Drew Pearson, Derek Harper, and more. The event will be at Main Event Entertainment in Grapevine.

Magnolia at the Modern Film presents Far from the Tree
The documentary Far from the Tree follows families meeting extraordinary challenges through love, empathy, and understanding. This life-affirming film encourages us to cherish loved ones for all they are, not who they might have been. The film, based on Andrew Solomon's award-winning, non-fiction book, will screen seven times through Sunday at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.
Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra presents Classical Masters Festival: Bernstein's Jeremiah Symphony
The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra's Classical Masters Festival, taking place all weekend at Bass Performance Hall, will honor composer Leonard Bernstein. The opening concert spotlights the symphonic music of Bernstein, including the Symphonic Dances from West Side Story and the “Jeremiah” Symphony. The concert will highlight mezzo soprano Kelley O'Connor, with Miguel Harth-Bedoya serving as conductor.

Camp Gladiator Stadium Takeover
Camp Gladiator Stadium Takeover is programmed around a free, trainer-led group workout featuring workout challenges, local vendors, music, food, gear, and giveaways. Attendees can sign up as a spectator or a competitor, and all ages and all fitness levels are welcome. The event will be a rare opportunity for participants to take the field at Globe Life Park in Arlington.
Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra presents Classical Masters Festival: Bernstein On the Town
Jazz, film, and Broadway music are the focus of the second Classical Masters Festival concert. The audience will experience music from On The Town and On the Waterfront. Plus, celebrated clarinetist David Shifrin will perform the jazzy Prelude, Fugue and Riffs, and lyrical Sonata for Clarinet and Orchestra. The concert will be conducted by Miguel Harth-Bedoya.
Texas Live presents '80s vs '90s hosted by Chris Kirkpatrick of N'Sync
It'll be a night of nostalgia at the recently opened Texas Live in Arlington. Hosted by Chris Kirkpatrick of NSync (!), the concert will feature performances by Live 80, a Dallas cover band that bills itself as "The ultimate '80s experience," and Time Machine, another Dallas cover band, which will presumably take the '90s side of the debate.

Panther Island Pavilion presents Sunday Funday
Time is almost up for Sunday Funday, a day of relaxation and fun in the sun at Panther Island Pavilion. Tubes and pedal boats area available to rent, along with kayaks, canoes, and stand-up paddle boards from Backwoods Paddlesports. Local craft beer will be sold from award-winning Panther Island Brewing. Visitors can enjoy music, friends, food trucks like Fajita Freaks and Aloha Shave Ice, and floating the Trinity River.
Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra presents Classical Masters Festival: Voices of Bernstein
The Classical Masters Festival concludes with an afternoon of vocal music. The concert will include selections from Candide, Trouble in Tahiti, Arias and Barcarolles, and more with vocalists Kelley O’Connor and Michael Adams. The FWSO will be joined by a chorus for a performance of the hopeful and life-affirming, jazzy and contemporary Chichester Psalms.
