There's a new steakhouse in town in Grapevine: Perry's Steakhouse & Grille, the Houston-based chain, is opening its third location in North Texas at 2400 W. SH 114, at the northeast corner of Southlake Boulevard. The restaurant is a new build with 10,000 square feet that will seat 400, and is slated to open in December.
Founder/owner Chris Perry says in a release that they're putting special touches on this new location, with a stunning new look and feel, vibrant color palette, and exquisite use of glass, lighting, and other textures.
The restaurant will feature sweeping sightlines throughout the dining room, with views of Bar 79 through a towering wine wall and glimpses of chefs working in the kitchen.
The space will have four private dining rooms that offer unique experiences for groups large and small, from business meetings to expansive family celebrations.
Perry's was founded in 1979 as a small butcher shop and has grown into a renowned group of award-winning restaurants featuring USDA Prime beef, tableside carvings, signature selections, and flaming desserts. The chain has 13 locations in Birmingham, Chicago, Denver, and across Texas, as well as the two original butcher shops now known as Perry & Sons Market & Grille.
Signature dishes include its pork chop, which they boast is seven fingers high. They carve it tableside into chunks of loin with a side of ribs. The chain hosts a weekly "pork chop Friday" $15 lunch that attracts scads of diners.
The first DFW Perry's opened in Uptown Dallas at 2000 McKinney Ave. in 2010; a second branch opened in Frisco in 2014.
Its Bar 79, named after the founding year, offers an extensive wine list, craft beers, cocktails, live music, a spacious patio, and a "social hour" on weekdays from 4-7 pm and Sundays from 4-9 pm.
Grapevine is not hurting for steakhouses, with Dino's Steak and Claw House plus Bob's Steak House on Main Street; Saltgrass, Silver Fox, and Truluck's nearby; and the Old Hickory Steakhouse at Gaylord Texan. Steak for everyone, steak for all.
