Dakota's Steakhouse (Closed)
Dakota’s Steakhouse has been an underground phenomenon in downtown Dallas since 1984. The quirkiness of its location is part of the fun: You take an elevator from the sidewalk down a flight to get to the restaurant. You're rewarded with beautiful appointments such as the Carrara marble floor, brass gas lamps, and a courtyard patio. The menu is pretty prototypical steakhouse featuring USDA Prime from purveyor Allen Brothers, aged 28 days, plus shrimp cocktail, wedge salad, and a big assortment of sides such as mac and cheese and creamed spinach.
