Texas-based health food chain suddenly closes all Dallas-Fort Worth locations
Austin-based My Fit Foods, which specialized in nutritious meals on-the-go, has shuttered. The closure affects more than 40 locations across the U.S., including branches in Southlake, Las Colinas, Frisco, and Dallas. It also includes a central kitchen in Fort Worth that opened in 2015 for food preparation and distribution throughout DFW.
My Fit Foods launched in Houston in 2006, then relocated its headquarters to Austin in 2013. In addition to prepackaged food, it also offered meal-planning assistance.
The company announced its closure via a statement on its website.
"Since 2006, My Fit Foods has been on a mission to make healthy eating easy and accessible for everyone," it said. "It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of all our stores. We know that you have depended on us to support your healthy habits, and we are deeply sorry for any inconvenience our closure may have caused you."
