Luxury bus operator Vonlane resumes Fort Worth route to popular Texas city
Dallas-based luxury bus company Vonlane is back on the road from Fort Worth. After shutting down service due to Winter Storm Uri, it began offering limited routes to travelers among Dallas, Austin, and Houston in late February. Beginning April 1, service between Fort Worth and Houston will resume.
"Welcome back to Fort Worth," they said in an email to customers March 2.
A quick check of the schedule online shows it's possible to book one-way and roundtrip travel from the Fort Worth Hilton downtown to the Houston Downtown Hyatt Regency, and vice versa, beginning April 1. Departure times from both cities are 10:45 am and 3:30 pm, and the journey lasts four hours.
Fares are $105 each way.
Vonlane also will add more routes among Dallas, Austin, and Houston on April 1.
Routes to and from San Antonio and Oklahoma City are not yet available.
Vonlane buses are operating with a number of COVID-19 protocols, including blocked seats for social distancing, at least through March 31, they say. Face masks and temperature checks are required.
Vonlane launched its high-end bus service in 2014 to cater to business travelers. Each bus, which holds fewer than two dozen passengers, features amenities like WiFi, satellite TV and radio, snack and drink service, and leather seats.
Reservations can be booked online, and may be canceled and fully refunded up to 24 hours before departure.
