The Kimbell Art Museum presents a festival for all ages, Kimbell Fest: France, with an exciting lineup of musical performances, including Texas rock bands White Denim, Oil Boom, and Gollay, plus demonstrations, art activities, and films. The third annual Kimbell Fest event is inspired by the Museum's exhibition The Brothers Le Nain: Painters of Seventeenth-Century France.

The festival will kick off with a "Tour de France" from 1 to 2 pm, presented in partnership with Fort Worth Bike Sharing. Riders are encouraged to dress their bikes and themselves in their best French attire and meet at the Kimbell's Darnell Street parking lot to enjoy a bicycle tour of the Museum's Cultural District before reaching the finish line on the Museum's lawn. Discounted bike-share rental will be available.

Daytime activities include face painting, art making, traditional dancers and musicians, historic demonstrations, storytelling, and a selfie photo booth. Evening activities include outdoor rock music performances, provided in partnership with KXT 91.7 FM, as well as French-inspired musical presentations.

Attendees can preorder a delicious French picnic basket from Central Market by calling 817-377-9307; baskets will be picked up at the event. A variety of food truck and beverage options will be on the grounds for purchase, including offerings from Martin House Brewery and Lost Oak Winery. A free water station will be provided by Tarrant Regional Water District. No outside food or beverage is allowed.
