Mark Bowden, author of the blockbuster bestseller, Black Hawk Down, will talk about his new book, Hue 1968: A Turning Point of the American War in Vietnam. The book tells the story of the Battle of Hue at the start of the Tet Offensive. The Wall Street Journal has called it “an incredible feat of journalism,” as Bowden has reconstructed the 24-day battle through interviews with participants on both sides, and five years of research.
The program includes a luncheon at 11:30 am, followed by the program and book signing at 12 pm.
