Fun Japanese store Daiso to open new Fort Worth location off Camp Bowie
Shopping alert: Daiso, the global chain that sells fun and affordable stuff, is opening a new location in Fort Worth. According to a release, the store will open at 3501 Bernie Anderson Ave., right off Camp Bowie Boulevard, on June 1.
And in fact they're calling it the store at Camp Bowie.
Daiso is known for its array of items both useful and fun, from household goods to stationery to beauty, and more. The company was founded in Japan, then entered the U.S. market in 2005, headquartered in Anaheim, California.
They made their DFW debut in 2015 with a store in Carrollton and have since opened locations in Dallas, Irving, Plano, Frisco, Euless, Grapevine, Fort Worth, Watauga, and Arlington.
The new store will encompass 9,824 square feet and will be the second in Fort Worth, following one already open at 8967 Tehama Ridge Pkwy.
Daiso carries thousands of products: kitchenware, beauty supplies, stationery, wrapping paper, electronic accessories, greeting cards, party favors, and plushie toys, plus exotic-ish snacks such as wasabi peanuts.
John Clarke, Chief Development Officer for Daiso USA says, "Fort Worth based Daiso customers have shown us through our online business and social media their desire for us to have more stores within the state, influencing our immediate growth strategy in this region. We currently operate 126 units in 7 states with more states opening in 2024."
On opening weekend, on both Saturday, June 1 and Sunday, June 2, the first 100 customers to shop at the Camp Bowie location and make a minimum purchase of $30 will receive a goodie bag. The store will be open 9 am-9 pm and 10 am-8 pm on Sunday.
