Tuesday, December 5
TX Whiskey’s Repeal Day Celebration
Whiskey Ranch will open on a Tuesday to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the 21st Amendment to the US Constitution – the end of Prohibition. Celebrate Repeal Day with a whiskey cocktail at the TX Tavern bar. The $10 ticket includes admission and your first drink. There’ll be live music by the Andrew Skates Trio and the party will run from 6-9 pm.
La Rioja Alta Wine Dinner at Don Artemio
Experience Spanish wines (including lots of Tempranillo) at this James Beard nominated restaurant during a five-course pairing dinner. Menu highlights include Texas bass aguachile, filet mignon with mole de olla, and a sweet tamal with Manchego and quince paste. Dinner is $125, plus tax and gratuity, and dinner begins at 6:30 pm.

Holiday Cocktail Class at The Kimpton Harper Hotel
The happening downtown hotel will host a hands-on mixology class featuring Angel’s Envy whiskey. Experiment with creative ingredients while learning from the pros. The class is $50, plus tax and a small fee, and begins at 7 pm.

Jack Daniels Tasting at Neighbor’s House
‘Tis the season for Jack Daniels, and this downtown café and wine bar is ready to celebrate. Visit anytime from 4:30-6:30 pm to try multiple varieties of the iconic Tennessee spirit. Bonus: the tasting is complimentary.

Breakfast with Santa at Quince
The upscale riverfront restaurant, whose flagship location resides in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, will host Santa himself this Saturday for breakfast. The $50 price ($30 for children) includes breakfast, a mimosa bar for grownups, hot chocolate bar, photos with the big guy in red, and gingerbread cookie decorating to Christmas tunes. Make reservations between 9-10:30 am.
BrisketU at Rahr & Sons Brewing Co.
The Backyard Pitmasters’ BrisketU class is back in Fort Worth, giving home cooks an opportunity to learn how to smoke brisket like a pro. The class covers pit types, selecting the right cut, trimming techniques, rubs and preps, wood selection, smoke profiles, managing the fire, timing, and properly slicing the final product. The class is $94 ($84 for any additional participants) and will run from 10 am-1 pm.

Cinnamon Roll Class at Indulge
If there ever was a season for fresh-baked cinnamon rolls, it’s now. The downtown cooking studio and tea room, located inside 3rd Street Market, will host a Sunday afternoon, hands-on cinnamon roll-making class featuring a 100 year-old legacy recipe. (Expect lots of taste testing.) The class is $89 and will begin at 2 pm.
