Film lovers are invited to participate in the creative process of post-production by attending a free work-in-progress screening of the feature film, Sleeping in Plastic, directed by Van Ditthavong.

The crime drama/coming-of-age story is about a Texas town that awakes when a high school wrestler gets involved with a drifter and her abusive lover. Lives then intertwine and spiral violently out of control once he becomes her escort driver.

The screening includes a facilitated session where the audience provides constructive feedback on the story structure and character development of this not-quite-finished feature film. This is an essential process for the filmmakers as they fine-tune their project before locking a final edited version of the film for distribution.
