Hello Hollywood
Indie film God's Here to make red carpet premiere in Granbury
A hotly anticipated film by Aledo, Texas filmmaker Bill McAdams, Jr. is about to make its premiere. Called God’s Here, the film will debut at Cinergy Cinemas and Brazos Drive-In on Saturday, November 2, with a star-studded red carpet event to add a touch of Hollywood glamour.
Inspired by a true story, the film was written and directed by McAdams, who also stars as a firefighter whose wife and son are killed in a car accident three weeks before Christmas. Hercules legend Kevin Sorbo portrays a detective who investigates the accident; the film also features singer-songwriter Sarah Reeves, who composed the score.

McAdams' brother was killed in a distracted driving accident 12 years ago.
“This is a story I’ve been wanting to tell for a while, and I’m so grateful not just to the cast, but to the City of Granbury for helping me bring it to life,” McAdams, Jr. says.
Previously titled Christmas Heart, the film will include scenes from the town’s courthouse and the Granbury Live Theater. Beyond showcasing some of the town’s sights, the film will also feature familiar faces such as Mayor Jim Jarratt, personnel from Granbury’s police and fire departments, and other local residents.
God's Here was executive produced by Sharon K. Campbell and Jim Doss. Don Wantz, Mary Jean Bentley, and Therese Moncrief share producer credits. Campbell's great-grandfather was George Granbury, brother of General Hiram B. Granbury, and her mother was Merlee Granbury.
