Innovative Gregorys Coffee from New York makes Texas debut in Hurst mall
A new name in coffee is coming to Texas, with its first location in Hurst: Called Gregorys Coffee, it will open at North East Mall with an innovative bill of coffee, tea, and food.
According to a release, it'll open on Tuesday, May 21 at 9 am.
Gregorys was founded in 2006 by Gregory Zamfotis when he opened a shop at 327 Park Avenue S. in Manhattan. Headquartered in New York, Gregorys currently has 39 locations in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Washington, D.C., California, and now Texas.
Over its 17-plus year existence, Gregorys Coffee's core remains the same: no attitude, just good coffee, good food, and good people. In addition to coffee drinks, they sell roasted coffee online and in stores.
Their tagline of “see coffee differently” highlights their commitment to delivering quality coffee without compromising on service or price. For Gregorys, this means:
- making fresh coffee every 30 minutes
- baking fresh pastries in house daily
- pouring latte art for customers
Food includes oats, muffins, scones, croissant sandwiches, parfaits, avocado toast, and hard-boiled eggs.
Gregorys also differentiates itself with a plant-forward menu incorporating seasonal ingredients. One recent introduction is the Vegan Deluxe, a breakfast sandwich with Just Egg, BeyondSausage, and Daiya Foods cheddar on a buttery, flaky chia seed croissant.
Beverages run the gamut of espresso- and coffee-based drinks, hot and cold, plus matcha, plus teas, plus nitro cold brew, plus a smoothie or two such as the Peanut Pleaser, and here's their snappy description: "We blend 3 simple ingredients to make a smoothie that always hits the spot. Peanut butter, banana, and oat milk that's it that's the smoothie."
This opening marks Gregorys’ third mall location with the Simon Property Group.
“We’re thrilled to work with Simon [Property Group] on this new location at North East Mall, and believe we are the perfect coffee brand for their shoppers and merchants alike,” says René Puerta, Director of Marketing at Gregorys. “With drinks ranging from our refreshers to cold brew concoctions as well as delicious vegan eats, Gregorys is well-positioned to cater to the wide range of customers that shop here.”
Gregorys Coffee customers, or gregulars, have access to exclusive perks and events, in addition to the ability to earn points for free food and beverages.
“We are excited to introduce our first location in Texas and welcome more Gregulars into our family," Zamfotis says. "Hurst exudes the feeling of family and we are so excited to join the community. Our expansion to the Dallas–Fort Worth–Arlington area has been a long time coming, and we are delighted to officially open the doors."
