Original ChopShop to open first standalone restaurant in Fort Worth
A restaurant chain famous for its chopped salads is coming to north Fort Worth: Original ChopShop, a fast-casual chain known for its bowls, salads, and sandwiches, will open at 2960 Amador Dr. in — where else — Fort Worth’s Alliance Town Center, the center of the universe as we know it where everyone wants to open.
According to a release, it'll open in early September.
This is the chain's first location in Fort Worth, and also their first stand-alone shop in Texas, built from the ground up.
Original ChopShop is dedicated to serving affordable, authentic, all-day offerings at breakfast, lunch, snack time, and dinner, with fast service and meals made from wholesome ingredients.
The concept made its DFW debut in 2018 with a first location in Las Colinas. They were founded in Scottsdale in 2013 but relocated their headquarters to Plano in 2016.

They currently have 23 locations in Phoenix, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Atlanta, and Tucson.
This opening marks the company’s 12th location in Texas and its 24th brand wide.
The name ChopShop might sound like it's steak, but their goal is healthy eating that's easily accessible while on-the-go. The core item on their menu is protein bowls, with greens, grains, and a protein. The most popular is the teriyaki chicken bowl, which can be served with choice of forbidden rice, brown rice, or sweet potato hash.
Other signature dishes include Citrus Thai Salad and Coconut Chia Pudding.
In addition to being their first standalone shop in Texas, the location will have an interactive ordering experience including digital menu boards and kiosks; plus a convenient pick-up window for to-go orders.
CEO Jason Morgan says that Fort Worth has been on their to-do list.
“We have been searching for a Fort Worth location since opening our first Dallas-area Shop in 2018, and we're excited to bring our wholesome offerings to the Alliance community," Morgan says. "Even though there is already a wide range of dining options in the area, we're confident that guests will find our menu to be unique with options for Every/Body. We look forward to welcoming guests this Fall."
