Every year, Brewed takes two of their menu mainstays, coffee and beer, and recruits a team for each made up of Fort Worth industry players and community leaders. The teams are then pitted against each other in a game of whiffle ball that has become a spring classic.
Now in its third year, the coffee team leads the series over the beer team 2 – 0. To up the stakes, each team has been partnered up to represent and raise funds for a section of the new proposed Hemphill Park renovation. The coffee team will represent the BMX/skate park section, while the beer team will represent the concert pavilion.
The benefit event will also receive support this year from Frank Kent Motors, Avoca Coffee, CityShapers, and Keep Fort Worth Funky.
Brewedfest will provide fun for the whole family outside of the game with food, drink, and mid-inning entertainment. The event will be hosted and emceed by Fort Worth improv group Curtis Needs a Ride. Expect to find local food vendors including Brewed, Melt Ice Creams, Coffee : Experience, And Taco Head on site at the event.
