Francisco Jose Alvarado Araujo’s MFA thesis exhibition, "Mah Cualli Ohtli," traces his exploration of balance, entropy and uncertainty through delicate gestures and interventions with found objects and machines. Francisco draws from his personal experience to create playful and at times emotionally charged moments of tension and contact resulting in looping, hypnotizing moments to unearth the contingency in the space. The works in the exhibition range from configurations of found objects balanced and under tension, a looped projection with sound, and kinetic sculptures.

Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on view through March 20.
