CAIR-DFW will present an evening with distinguished speakers that will enlighten, inspire, and entertain.

Former NBA superstar Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf, who was the first to protest racial injustice during the national anthem at NBA games in the mid-1990s, will be the evening’s Keynote Speaker. He will be joined by Imam Siraj Wahhaj, a beloved Imam in New York who led the highly praised 1988 anti-drug movement that cleaned up Bedford-Stuyvesant, NY, and was the first Muslim to offer the opening prayer at the U.S. House of Representatives in 1991.

The event will also feature celebrated spoken word artist, Bayadir Mohamed-Osman, and will be hosted by CAIR-DFW Board President, Marwa Elbially.
