The Chamber Music Society of Fort Worth presents the Amelia Piano Trio with guest violinist and Artistic Director for CMSFW, Gary Levinson. The concert will be preceded by the highly popular Pre-Concert Conversation with Laurie Shulman and Gary Levinson beginning at 1:15 PM.

Known for their charismatic and extroverted performances, the Amelia Piano Trio combines their accessibility with the rich history and repertoire of the piano trio and has become known as one of the great young chamber ensembles.

This concert will introduce the Fort Worth audience to Russian-born composer Lera Auerbach’s Piano Trio No. 2. Born in 1973 in Chelyabinsk, Russia, she is a graduate of the Juilliard School. This remarkable composer is also a published writer, visual artist and concert pianist. Her works have been championed by highly acclaimed soloists including Martha Argerich, Gidon Kramer, Hilary Hahn, Alisa Weilerstein, and conductors Christoph Eschenbach and Charles Dutoit.
