Good fortune visited Tareka Lofton when she began baking cakes in her apartment in 2013. Praise for these amazing cakes began to spread across Dallas-Fort Worth, and soon everyone wanted a slice of Loft22 Cakes. An award-winning visual artist in painting and sculpture and a Le Cordon Bleu alumnus, Tareka combines her love of food and art to create delicious experiences. She opened Loft22’s first store-front bakery in Fort Worth’s Historic Near Southside in 2017. Tareka will share her sweet story of baking and making in Fort Worth.
