Hip Pocket Theatre will present The Lake Worth Monster – A Musical Odyssey, for a special five-week run. Directed by Johnny Simons with original music by Douglas Balentine.

According to Simons, "The Lake Worth Monster was the production that gave impetus and strength to Doug Balentine’s and my idea of starting our own theatre together in honor of our brotherly partnership. Monster solidified our passion for creating original theatre and became the foundation upon which Hip Pocket has evolved over 40 years. The Lake Worth Monster is not a play about a creature such as The Creature from the Black Lagoon or Frankenstein. The ‘monster’ in our play is a metaphorical creature representative of the guilt and inner turmoil of a young man searching for the peace of forgiveness. It is a spiritual journey."

The Backyard concession area will feature local musicians before and after each performance as well as food in concessions. No late seating. This show is rated PG-13 due to language and adult situations.
