The Kimbell Art Museum will host its fourth annual teens-only event, Kimbell Teen Night. This Monet-inspired event features interactive museum experiences such as Shibori-style indigo dyeing with guest artist Analise Minjarez, wearable floral arrangement workshops with floral designer Johanna Belwood, a Monet-themed photo booth powered by Fort Worth Library and Installation 101 featuring Kimbell curators.
Other activities include plein-air painting, gallery sketching, teen tours of the Monet exhibition and trivia. The first 200 teens to arrive will receive free Kimbell Teens t-shirts. Admission is free to "Monet: The Late Years." The event will also feature free food from Zoës Kitchen, Salsa Limón and more.
Teens in high school (grades 9-12) as well as recently graduated high school seniors (May or June 2019) may attend this event. Parents are not invited to the event but may drop off their teens at the group drop-off area located on Camp Bowie Boulevard or in the museum's free underground parking garage located off of Van Cliburn Way. Museum staff and security will supervise the event. The Kimbell Art Museum is not responsible for teen supervision once guests leave the Piano Pavilion at any point throughout the evening.
No tickets or reservations are required, but a high school ID or equivalent is necessary for entry.
