Cool hotel brand's lofty Texas expansion plans include Dallas-Fort Worth

As part of a statewide expansion, nine new Aloft Hotels — a brand owned and operated by Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide — are planned across Texas, including three new Dallas-Fort Worth locations.
Aloft Hotels, known for modern design, loft-like rooms, and high-tech features, is expanding its presence from seven to 16 hotels in the Lone Star State. Dallas-Fort Worth residents can expect new locations in Richardson, Arlington, and near Love Field, all within those cool new mixed-use developments that seem to be popping up everywhere.
The chain also plans two additional locations in Austin, three in Houston and one in College Station. Starwood expects to have the new Texas locations open by 2018.
Slated to open in 2016, Aloft Richardson will be part of the buzzing CityLine development, adjacent to the State Farm Regional Corporate Office and close to the Richardson Telecom Corridor – home to more than 500 companies, including Texas Instruments, Raytheon, Verizon, AT&T, and Bank of America. The nine-story hotel will feature 148 rooms and 3,000 square feet of meeting space.
Also set for 2016, Aloft Dallas Love Field will be part of a dual-branded Starwood hotel development along with Element Dallas Love Field. There will be 133 rooms at Aloft and 91 rooms at Element, and the two buildings will share 6,500 square feet of meeting space, a swimming pool, and a fitness center. The hotels will be part of West Love, a 37-acre mixed-use development that will also include apartments and more than 24,000 square feet of retail space.
Coming in 2017 is Aloft Arlington Entertainment District, part of the new development called the Village at Ballpark Way. Its 136 rooms, fitness center, outdoor splash pool, and 580 square feet of meeting space are all a short distance from Globe Life Park, AT&T Stadium, Six Flags Over Texas, and Hurricane Harbor.
Aloft College Station, set to open September 10, will be the first of the new locations to open in Texas.
The brand presently operates Aloft Austin at The Domain, Aloft Dallas Downtown, Aloft Frisco, Aloft Las Colinas, Aloft Plano, and Aloft San Antonio Airport, as well as Aloft Houston by the Galleria. Aloft currently has 100 hotels in 15 countries, including the United Kingdom, Germany, China, Australia, and India.
