The Lone Star Film Festival will present for a special pre-festival event featuring a conversation with Billy Bob Thornton, star of Taylor Sheridan's new Texas-made TV show, Landman.
The pilot episode of the series will be screened during the main portion of the festival, taking place November 1-4.
After the conversation, Thornton will be presented with this year's Larry McMurtry Award. The award honors an original storyteller who embodies McMurtry's creative spirit while recognizing outstanding contributions to film, television, and Texas. Previous award recipients include Taylor Sheridan, Richard Linklater, and Ethan Hawke.
Tickets include beer, wine, and selected spirits, with selected clips of Landman being shown.
