Riscky’s Barbeque, the 96-year-old Fort Worth barbecue legend, will host its 17th annual rib-eating competition, which will challenge up to 30 barbecue enthusiasts to eat as many Riscky’s beef ribs as possible in just 60 seconds. The top qualifiers will then go head-to-head to win the top three prizes. First place gets a $500 Riscky’s gift card, second place gets a $250 Riscky’s gift card, and third place gets a $100 Riscky’s gift card.

All participants must pay a $5 entry fee at-the-door on the day of the event, and sign-ups are first come, first-served (30 participants max). Participants must be 18 years of age or older, and minors are eligible if accompanied by a parent or guardian. All participants will receive a complimentary Riscky’s t-shirt.

The event will be held in tandem with a series of celebratory events hosted by the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District in honor of the National Day of the American Cowboy.
