Hulen Street will be transformed into the biggest block party of the summer when Slide the City arrives in Fort Worth. Last summer over 1,000 sliders slipped and splashed down the giant water slide. Event organizers expect 2016 to be bigger and better than ever.
Families, friends and neighbors are invited to take a break from the heat, speeding through three city blocks on inner tubes. This year, event organizers have added a block party to the already incredible slide. The community event will include food, music, local vendors, and street entertainers.
All sliders will get an entry wristband, a drawstring bag, and a mouth guard. All participants are required to slide with an inflatable tube; tubes will be available for sale for anyone who doesn't have one. All day sliders automatically receive a tube, along with a hat and T-shirt. All those over 5 years of age and 46 inches tall are welcome to slide.
