Arlington police seek student following shooting at Timberview High
Arlington police are searching for an 18-year-old male in connection with a shooting that took place at a Mansfield school on October 6.
Mansfield ISD said in a release that Timberview High School, located at 7700 S. Watson Rd., went on lockdown following an active shooter situation. Multiple people were injured and were taken to hospitals.
Mansfield ISD police said the situation was under control but the investigation is active.
Police are looking for Timothy George Simpkins, 18, believed to be a student at the school. The police said he was driving a 2018 Silver Dodge Charger with the license plate PFY 6260, and that he is considered armed and dangerous.
Police 911 received a phone call at 9:15 am about a fight that led to a shooting.
Three people were taken to the hospital, including one adult believed to be a teacher.
Students were taken to the Mansfield ISD Center for the Performing Arts, located at 1110 W. Debbie Lane, Mansfield, to be picked up by their parents.
