As the COVID-19 vaccination effort reaches more people, it appears that more organizations are becoming comfortable with hosting in-person events again. This weekend is the first time in a long time where all of the entries on our list will take place outside of the house, a possible harbinger of things finally get back to normal in a pandemic world.

As part of their Cliburn in the Community series, the Cliburn will present a performance from 2013 Cliburn Competitor Alex McDonald and violist Rachel Li McDonald at Benbrook Public Library. The married couple will play a variety of classical selections showcasing their two instruments.

Magnolia at the Modern: Street Gang: How We Got to Sesame Street
Street Gang: How We Got to Sesame Street is an inspiring documentary that looks inside the minds and hearts of the Sesame Street creators, actors, writers, and educators who together established one of the most influential programs in television history. The film will screen five times through Sunday at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.
Hyena's presents Jon Stringer
Comedian Jon Stringer is a self-described "late bloomer," discovering his passion for stand-up comedy on his 30th birthday. Now in his late 30s, he is still channeling his inner child to avoid maturity at all costs. He can be heard regularly on iHeartRadio as well as be seen on Netflix (Chingo Bling's They Can't Deport Us All). He'll perform four times through Saturday at Hyena's Comedy Club in downtown Fort Worth.
The Bellamy Brothers in concert
Howard and David Bellamy, aka the Bellamy Brothers, have been racking up hits for over 40 years. They're best known for their heyday in the 1980s, when songs like "If I Said You Had a Beautiful Body Would You Hold It Against Me," "Do You Love as Good as You Look," and "Too Much is Not Enough" made them one of the biggest acts of the era. They'll revisit their long and storied career at this concert at Billy Bob's Texas.

Miranda Lambert in concert
One weekend was not enough to contain the power that is Miranda Lambert. The showcase concert of Billy Bob's Texas' 40th anniversary celebration, she'll perform two more times on Saturday and Sunday. The country star and Texas native will release her new album, The Marfa Tapes, a collaboration with fellow Texans Jack Ingram and Jon Randall, on May 7.
Jon Stringer will perform at Hyena's Comedy Club on April 30 and May 1.
