Eggs, butter, flour, cheese, milk, and frozen spinach. Got these ingredients? Then you've got a deceptively fancy dinner.

Roni Proter shows you how to whip up — literally — a spinach souffle in this Dinner Reinvented video. There are no special skills required to make this simple yet delicious version, and you don't even have to worry about this famously temperamental dish falling flat on you.

After thawing a cup of spinach and pressing out the excess water, mix butter and flour together before adding salt and milk steeped with a bay leaf. This step, and the dash of grated nutmeg that comes next, are easy ways to give your meal a little extra oomph without getting too complicated.

Add the spinach and cheese, then froth six egg whites (but don't toss the yolks — you'll need some of them in the spinach mixture) until they form soft peaks. Fold it all together, pour into a souffle dish greased with butter and Parmesan cheese, top with more sprinkles of cheese, and pop in the oven for about 45 minutes.

When the dish emerges all fluffy and buttery, your taste buds will swear you spent more time cooking than you did.

How to make the world’s easiest shrimp pasta for comforting weekday dinner

At the end of a long day, sometimes even ordering takeout can seem like too much work. In this video, Dinner Reinvented host Roni Proter reveals how a couple of freezer staples like shrimp and peas can be transformed into comfort food of the highest order.

In a skillet prepped with simmering butter and fresh garlic, add about 10 defrosted shrimp and stir.

Sprinkle in a little salt and add a few splashes of vermouth or white wine. Proter says to always keep some on hand, and that's one ingredient we can definitely have at the ready.

After it’s cooked down a bit, bring out the frozen peas — no need to defrost — and pour in a splash of cream.

Once it’s all bubbling, add pre-cooked pasta and stir just a little bit more. Top with Parmesan, dish out, and voila! Dinner that didn’t require stopping by the grocery store or ordering in, yet still delivers on taste and convenience.

This stir-fry works when you have veggies to use and little time to cook

You know those days when you feel like you don’t have a minute to cook a decent meal? (Of course you do.) That’s when you need this recipe for chicken teriyaki with stir-fried vegetables. It’s what host Roni Proter turns to when she needs to have dinner on the table stat.

In this episode of Dinner Reinvented, she starts with a couple of chicken breasts she’s marinated in teriyaki sauce ahead of time. Don’t worry if you didn’t; even 15 minutes will do the trick.

After she puts the chicken on a heated grill pan — diagonally, to get the start of a nice crisscross mark — she rough chops whatever vegetables she has on hand. In this case, zucchini, red bell pepper, broccoli, and mushrooms.

Proter also offers a great tip for washing ’shrooms: Wipe them down with a clean, wet paper towel. If you rinse them under the faucet, they will soak up the water, and you want the mushrooms to soak up the teriyaki sauce instead.

When it’s time to cook the vegetables — after flipping the chicken — she throws them into a sauté pan with a little olive oil, then adds some teriyaki sauce. She lets the vegetables cook for about five minutes.

Proter notes that you can use whatever pasta or rice might be available. For this video, she uses spaghetti, which she mounds on the plate before topping with a spoonful of vegetables and sliced grilled chicken.

'Yellowstone' stars to greet fans at Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo

Yellowstone fans, get your comfy shoes ready - there'll be a long line for this one. Cole Hauser a.k.a. "Rip Wheeler" on Yellowstone, and Taylor Sheridan, the show's co-creator, executive producer, and director of the series, will meet fans and sign autographs at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo.

The event will take place from 4:30-6:30 pm only on Friday, February 3. Location is the 6666 Ranch booth near the south end of Aisle 700 in the Amon G. Carter, Jr. Exhibits Hall.

According to a February 2 announcement from FWSSR, "fans will have the opportunity to snag an autograph as well as purchase some distinctive Yellowstone and 6666 Ranch merchandise while also enjoying all the features the Stock Show offers."

The event is free to attend (with paid Stock Show admission) and open to the public.

It's the second year in a row for Hauser to appear at FWSSR; in 2022, he and fellow cast mates drew huge crowds.

Sheridan, a Paschal High School graduate, is no stranger to Fort Worth; he lives in a ranch near Weatherford and filmed 1883, the prequel to Yellowstone, in and around Fort Worth. Currently, another spinoff, 1883: The Bass Reeves Story, is filming in North Texas.

The Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo is winding up its 2023 run on Saturday, February 4.

Texas' favorite soft drink Dr Pepper spins off fruity-creamy new flavor

Texas' favorite soda Dr Pepper, loved for its cherry-ish flavor, has a new berry variety: Strawberries & Cream, available in regular and Zero Sugar versions, now on shelves everywhere.

According to a release, Dr Pepper Strawberries & Cream Regular will be offered in 12-packs with 12-ounce cans and also in 20-ounce bottles. The Zero Sugar version will be offered in 12 packs only.

Both will be permanent additions.

The release says that the new flavor combines the original 23 flavors of Dr Pepper but with layers of strawberry flavor and a creamy finish. That sounds like a lot of activity for a little old soda.

"Our expert team of flavor scientists are constantly innovating to bring to life new varieties that will surprise and delight treat seekers and our existing dedicated fans," says Dr Pepper Marketing VP John Alvarado. "Dr Pepper Strawberries & Cream is an exciting evolution for our brand's flavor portfolio as it joins our permanent lineup alongside popular varieties such as Dr Pepper & Cream Soda and Dr Pepper Zero Sugar."

Dr Pepper is part of Keurig Dr Pepper but is also the oldest major soft drink in the United States, around since 1885.

The "23 flavors" theme, which is said to be responsible for its unique taste, is a secret recipe, ooooh, and is thought to include amaretto, almond, blackberry, black licorice, carrot, clove, cherry, caramel, cola, ginger, juniper, lemon, molasses, nutmeg, orange, prune, plum, pepper, root beer, rum, raspberry, tomato, and vanilla.

The current full Dr Pepper lineup includes Regular, Diet, Caffeine Free, Cherry, Zero Sugar, and Cream Soda.

A spokesperson says that Dr Pepper has introduced several LTO flavors over the past few years, including Dr Pepper Fansville Reserve Bourbon and FANtastic Chocolate in celebration of college football season, and Dark Berry, all available for a limited time only.

The spokesperson neglects to mention some other special edition flavors from the past that have included Dr Pepper Red Fusion, Dr Pepper Berries & Cream, Dr Pepper Cherry, Dr Pepper Vanilla Float, and Diet Cherry Chocolate Dr Pepper, which was delicious.

The two best were definitely Heritage Dr Pepper and Dr Pepper "Made With Real Sugar" — best because they used sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup. Alas, discontinued.

H-E-B gets the ball rolling on its newest DFW supermarket: Mansfield

It's Mansfield's lucky day: Texas supermarket king H-E-B officially started construction on a new location in Mansfield, breaking ground in a ceremony on February 3.

According to a release, the store, which was first announced in August 2022, will open in spring 2024.

The store will measure 118,000 square feet, and will be located at the corner of US 287 and Broad Street. H-E-B owns roughly 28 acres at the site.

H-E-B Mansfield joins H-E-B Alliance, currently under construction and set to open in spring 2024, as the first locations in Tarrant County. H-E-B also operates a Central Market location in Fort Worth.

H-E-B Executive VP Juan-Carlos Rück said in a statement that the company was excited to strengthen its commitment to DFW.

"Our H-E-B locations across North Texas continue to stir up great excitement with customers, and this H-E-B store will allow us to answer the long-standing call for an H-E-B in this thriving community," he said.

The store will follow a template set by stores in Plano and McKinney, including a True Texas BBQ restaurant with drive-thru on site; an H-E-B Pharmacy with drive-thru, backyard department, and home décor department with furniture, textiles, and pieces from the Haven + Key and Texas Proud collections.

It'll also have H-E-B Curbside and Home Delivery, allowing customers to place orders online for pickup at the store or delivery to the home.

Other highlights include bakery, deli, cheese, charcuterie island, sushi made in-store daily, Asian grill with rice bowls and teriyaki, live demonstrations and samplings, produce, meat, and floral department with online ordering and delivery service.

Also, an extensive craft beer and wine section with sampling station, bulk food items, sports nutrition products and supplements, frozen foods, cosmetics, pet food including Heritage Ranch by H-E-B pet food, plus seasonal items.

Decor will reflect the Mansfield community and incorporate energy-efficient inclusions such as CO2 refrigeration units, LED lighting, and native landscaping.
