Texas Rangers 2019 bobblehead series recognizes all-time great players
The Texas Rangers have issued a new set of bobbleheads for 2019 commemorating all of the team's best players, including Pudge, Michael, Young, Adrian Beltre, and more.
Well, except for Nolan Ryan. There is no Nolan Ryan bobblehead. Shocking.
The bobbleheads are in a series called "Nine Great Moments," and are among 15 giveaways that will mark the Rangers' final season at Globe Life Park in Arlington. The club's new Globe Life Field will seat approximately 41,000 fans and be adjacent to the Texas Live! entertainment plaza. It will boast a retractable roof, air conditioning, and other perks. It opens in 2020.
The bobblehead parade is as follows:
- April 20: "The Batting Champs" Michael Young bobblehead, first in a series of two
- May 3: "The Catch" Gary Matthews, Jr.
- June 1: "The Batting Champs" Josh Hamilton
- June 8: "The 3000th Hit" Adrian Beltre
- June 22: "The '95 All-Star Game" Ivan Rodriguez
- July 13: "The '96 Clinch" Juan Gonzalez
- August 3: "The Rusty Dive" Rusty Greer (first in a series of two "Perfect Game")
- August 17: "The Perfect Game" Kenny Rogers (second in a series)
- September 14: "Hello A.L. Pennant" Neftali Feliz/Bengie Molina
Bobbleheads are free for the first 15,000 fans.
There are three commemorative T-shirts, including a Taco Casa Arlington Stadium T-Shirt on April 13; a Fox Sports Southwest/Blue Cross Blue Shield Globe Life Park T-Shirt on June 2 (both available for the first 15,000 fans, 14 and older); and a Globe Life Final Game T-Shirt on September 29 available for all fans.
There'll be three post-game concerts: Koe Wetzel on May 4; For King and Country on May 5; and Aaron Lewis on September 14.
May 4 is also a "Bark at The Park" event where fans can bring their dogs to the ballpark. Advance registration is required.
