Preserve International exists to fight hunger and minimize the burden of seasonal poverty in East Africa through the provision of innovative, rurally-minded food preservation technology and training to reduce post-harvest crop loss. It also promotes food waste reduction in Texas and the broader U.S. through the use of these chemical-free food preservation methods to combat the culture of waste and make food last.
The group is always looking for donors, advocates, volunteers, and partners to help spread the word about food waste reduction and utilizing chemical-free food preservation methods to end hunger worldwide.
The launch event, Preserve Pairings, will be held at the Petroleum Club of Fort Worth on October 4, 2019. Attendees will have the opportunity to buy some delicious preserves, chutneys, and pickles with a selection of cheese, beer, and wine, and learn about how the group is tackling seasonal hunger and food waste in East Africa through its rural food preservation projects.
