American Heart Association will present the 2018 Tarrant County Heart Ball. This annual event comes together to raise funds and highlight the impact of the American Heart Association.
Heart disease and stroke can affect anyone at any time. A life is claimed every 80 seconds by cardiovascular disease but about 80 percent of cardiovascular diseases can be prevented. One way to help increase the survival rate is by equipping the youth of Tarrant County with the training and means necessary to become lifesavers.
The 2018 Heart Ball is raising funds to provide CPR in School kits for more than 40 Fort Worth ISD middle and high school campuses. Each year more than 350,000 people experience a cardiac arrest outside of a hospital and only 10 percent survive. This survival rate can be double or tripled with bystander CPR. CPR in School kits help create the next generation of lifesavers.
The American Heart Association's Tarrant County Heart Ball marks a moment in time to reflect, honor and celebrate the progress made through the dedication of all who support the Heart of Tarrant County.
During the Heart Ball program, guests will experience a tribute video highlighting local families whose lives have been touched by CHD and community leaders who champion this work across Tarrant County, illustrating the powerful connection between scientific discovery and real families whose children depend on medical advancements to not only survive but thrive.
A seated dinner will be followed by a mission‑centered program with CBS Texas’ Madison Sawyer as emcee. The evening will conclude with dancing to celebrate a year of painting hope and healing hearts across Fort Worth and beyond.
