Fort Worth Opera will conclude their 2023 season with Love Quarrels, in which resident artists will showcase their talent in scenes from opera classics and new works.
The concert title is a tribute to universal human struggles. It will feature scenes from beloved standard and thrilling contemporary operas: La Bohéme by Giacomo Puccini, L’elisir d’amore by Gaetano Donizetti, Les pêcheurs des perles by George Bizet, The Crucible by Robert Ward, and Fellow Travelers by Gregory Spears.
These scenes examine fractured interpersonal relationships as characters grapple with grief, abuse, and heartbreak. Through this curated concert, audiences can experience the artistry of soprano Adia Evans, tenor Nathaniel Catasca, and baritone Malcolm Payne Jr..
Additional appearances include FWO Chorus Member Arielle Collier as a soloist and FWO Studio Artist Andres Losada as the narrator.
