Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra presents "Shakespeare at the Symphony"

eventdetail
Photo courtesy of Dallas Theater Center

Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream captures the lightness of Shakespeare’s fairies with quick, clever melodies as they meddle in mortal affairs. Prokofiev’s militant take on the Montagues and Capulets provides an exquisite contrast to the lushness of his love theme for Romeo and Juliet. Members of Dallas Theater Center will join the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra to bring the world of The Bard to life.

Before each symphonic concert, FWSO Principal Keyboard Buddy Bray offers a pre-concert lecture to dive deeper into the works, their history, and other fun concert-related facts.
