Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra presents Enigma Variations

Australian conductor Nicholas Carter leads the orchestra in Elgar’s storied “Enigma Variations,” 14 charming and vivid sketches of his friends and acquaintances including the “Nimrod” variation. Vaughan Williams’s “Fantasia” on a Theme of Thomas Tallis, scored for a unique arrangement of string instruments, opens the concert. Additionally, pianist Behzod Abduraimov performs Shostakovich’s “Piano Concerto No. 1.”
