A portion of ticket sales will benefit the Careity Foundation, an organization that provides services and early detection for economically challenged women and men cancer patients, and relief for children with devastating diseases.

The auction on Saturday, June 11, includes some very special items. Notable among the lots are Annie Oakley’s Parker Brothers Shotgun (estimate: $150,000-$185,000) along with her traveling trunk (estimate $15,000-$25,000), Texas Ranger Hall of Fame Honoree Clint People’s Remington Rifle (estimate $5,000-$6,000), and Dallas Cowboy’s former owner Bum Bright’s personal Bohlin saddle ($35,000-$45,000).

For movie buffs interested in Hollywood cowboys, the auction offers Jimmy Stewart’s suit from The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (estimate $2,500-$3,500), and the “new-fangled” barber chair where Wyatt got his shave in the iconic scene from My Darling Clementine (estimate $1,500-$2,500), the derringer used by Jodie Foster and Mel Gibson in Maverick, and a collection of over 100 autographed photos by Hollywood stars such as Clint Eastwood and Roy Rogers.

Event producers invite not only western and Indian art and antique aficionados to come shop, they encourage other north Texas residents to come and see and learn about the history of our significant western heritage.
