These North Texas companies are among the best places to work in America
Two of the nation's very best places to work are based right here in North Texas. Glassdoor has released its annual list of the 50 best places to work, and Southwest Airlines and Texas Instruments both made the cut.
The 2017 rankings "rely solely on input from employees who elected to anonymously submit a company review on Glassdoor," notes the recruiting website. To qualify for the list, large U.S. companies had to have at least 75 Glassdoor-approved company and workplace factor ratings, an employer rating of at least 3.51, workplace factor ratings of at least 2.85, and at least 1,000 employees.
Southwest Airlines ranks No. 28 on the list. This is the eighth year it has landed on the list and it's lauded for its flight benefits, 401K matching, and multiple insurance plans, among other things. Texas Instruments, meanwhile, made the list for a third time, ranking No. 42. Employees especially like the company's laid-back work environment.
Keller Williams in Austin also made its first appearance on the list, ranking No. 31. And San Antonio favorite H-E-B, which has appeared on the list since 2014, ranks No. 27.
The best place to work in the U.S.? Boston's Baine & Company, which also boasts the No. 1 CEO in 2016, according to Glassdoor.
