Buzzy festival dedicated to pickles makes Texas debut in Arlington

A massive pickle festival is headed for Texas: Called The Big Dill, it calls itself "the World’s Largest Pickle Party," and it's coming to Globe Life Stadium and Texas Live! in Arlington on November 8.
The Big Dill was founded in Baltimore in 2019 as an over-the-top, pickle-themed spectacle; the founders also use social media to promote pickle brands and products. That will include some DFW names at the Arlington event.
“This isn’t just a festival—it’s the ultimate pickle celebration," says co-founder Kevin Baxter in a statement. In addition to Texas, they're also planning a festival for St. Louis.
Food
Food offerings will include include fried pickles, pickle pizza, pickle corn dogs, chicken brine sandwich, and cotton candy bacon.
Fort Worth-based Best Maid Pickles will take center stage, with samples of their most famous flavors from spicy habanero dills to bourbon-soaked brine bombs.
Fort Worth-based Martin House Brewing Company will serve their famous Best Maid Sour Pickle Beer.
Pickle-powered cocktails will include a pickle margarita, a pickleback with Jack Daniel's, and the Original Pickle Shot.
Wonderful Pistachios will debut its newest No Shells Dill Pickle flavor with free samples.
Attractions
Dan Castricone, known as The Pickle Priest, is blessing the event. Fans can step into an interactive experience where The Pickle Priest delivers his over-the-top pickle blessings.
There will also be competitions such as the Brine Chug Challenge in which contestants chug 32 ounces of straight pickle brine.
There'll be amusements like mechanical bull riding, axe throwing, rock climbing, face painting, carnival games, and a towering 60-foot Ferris wheel.
There'll be a stage with live music, high-energy performances, and interactive entertainment all day, with marching bands, mascots, and an electric pickle rave at 6 pm.
Tickets go on sale on July 9, but attendees can join the early bird list now to be the first to buy tickets and get festival updates. Ticket options include: the VIP Pickle Pass for $120, Early Entry Pickle Pass for $70, Premium Pickle Pass for $42, General Pickle Pass $25, Late Brine Pickle Pass for $20, and the Little Gherkins (kids) pass for $18.
