1. Longtime Italian restaurant closing after 19 years in Fort Worth. In sad shutdown news, the long-standing Italian restaurant Mamma Mia Italian Grill & Pizza has closed its location in north Fort Worth after 19 years. Their final day was February 28.

2. Keith Urban and Taylor Sheridan launch new CBS TV series in Fort Worth. A new music competition series on CBS is debuting with a Texas twang: Called The Road, it will feature singer-songwriter Keith Urban, mounting a headlining tour across the South to discover the next big musician — a tour that will include stops in Fort Worth and Dallas.

3. Indian restaurant with halal market debuts in north Fort Worth. A three-in-one restaurant, butcher shop, and market has opened in north Fort Worth: Called Spice and Slice Halal Market, it’s serving Indian and Nepali cuisine in the Basswood Crossing shopping center. It softly opened on February 14.

4. Fort Worth neighbor is the No. 1 most diverse large city in America. Dallas-Fort Worth has always been a diverse place, but there's one city that's truly becoming an epicenter for people of any cultural or socioeconomic background. Give it up for Arlington, which has topped WalletHub's just-released rankings of the most diverse large American cities for 2025.

5. Fort Worth bar Down N' Out debuts fun new menu from acclaimed chef. One of Fort Worth's favorite bars has a new food program from an acclaimed local chef. The Down N' Out Bar, which describes itself as "just a regular bar in the heart of Fort Worth," has partnered with chef Victor Villarreal, who is servicing a permanent food trailer on-site with a menu of chef-driven bar bites.
