Fort Worthian represents on buzzy list of nation's top young beverage experts

There's a buzzy new list from a national drinking authority, and one Fort Worthian represents the state well. Wine Enthusiast recently pronounced the Top 40 Under 40 Tastemakers for 2016 (not to be confused with our Tastemaker Awards), and Vino del Sol's Matt Hedges made the cut.
The roundup recognizes the best sommeliers, mixologists, distillers, and beverage experts in the country. "These are the forward-thinking men and women who are changing how America imbibes," reads the article.
Mississippi native Hedges, 36, fell in love with Argentine wine while studying abroad but couldn't find it when he returned home. After earning his MBA at Ole Miss, he co-founded Vino del Sol, an importer of terroir-driven wines from Argentina. He's now living in Fort Worth, and his company, which also imports wines from California, Chile, and New Zealand, and sake from Japan, sells to all 50 states.
Two other Top 40 Under 40 Tastemakers have Texas ties, and both reside in Austin: Master Sommelier June Rodil, 36, the beverage director for McGuire Moorman Hospitality, and Jessica Sanders, proprietress of Drink.Well and Backbeat.
