Train from Fort Worth to airport to close temporarily for construction
Some temporary stoppages/closures/disruptions to train service are being scheduled for the TRE and TEXRail, due to construction.
Both take place on May 14:
TRE: The Trinity Railway Express – Fort Worth to Dallas will be closing off a segment on May 14 for a construction project underground.
The TRE will not operate between Fort Worth Central Station and Fort Worth T&P Station on Tuesday, May 14, because the tunnel leading to the train platform will be closed.
The work includes installation of lighting and signage in the tunnel. This may not be the only time: Over the next few months, intermittent construction will occur as additional signage is installed throughout the concourse and tunnel.
However, TRE will operate on its regular schedule between Fort Worth Central Station and EBJ Union Station in Dallas.
TEXRail: TEXRail – Fort Worth to DFW Airport will not operate on Tuesday, May 14, so that crews can perform maintenance along the corridor between Fort Worth and DFW Airport.
Trains will cease operations at 2:45 am Tuesday, May 14, with plans to resume operations at 2:45 am Wednesday, May 15.
While TEXRail is not operating, airport travelers may ride TRE Link between DFW Airport and CentrePort Station, where they can connect to Trinity Railway Express for service to Fort Worth.
