Burger restaurant with branded buns makes glorious Fort Worth debut
One of the best new burger chains around is coming to Fort Worth. BurgerFi will make its Fort Worth debut with a location at 6650 N. Beach St., #108, with an opening set for October 1.
Founded in Florida in 2011, BurgerFi takes an upscale, gourmet, chef-driven approach, with burgers made from black Angus beef without any junk in them like steroids or antibiotics. Their most popular burger is The CEO, a double Wagyu and brisket blend burger with candied bacon-tomato jam, truffle aioli, and aged Swiss cheese.
BurgerFi also serves two kinds of veggie burgers: the Beyond Burger, which is 100 percent plant-based protein; and its in-house VegeFi Burger, a veggie burger made with crispy quinoa.
There are Vienna beef dogs, served New York-style, with kraut and mustard; or Texas-style, with chili, cheese, and hot sauce.
And BurgerFi has some of the best French fries to ever cross a plate, along with double-battered onion rings, frozen custard concretes and shakes, sugar-cane sodas, and local craft beer.
The chain is also known for its modern, eco-friendly design, with chairs made from upcycled Coca-Cola bottles and cool recycled paper countertops. One wiggy thing they have is a high-tech self-serve kiosk that employs facial recognition. It looks deep into your eyes and knows that you love its fries.
The first BurgerFi in DFW opened in Dallas in June 2018. The franchise group behind Dallas-Fort Worth consists of Brandt Stravlo, Justin Sharbutt, and Max Roesh. (There is also a location in Arlington, owned by a different franchisee.)
Roesh says in a release that they are "believers in the brand" who "want to continue being the local favorite burger hang-out spot."
To encourage you to visit, the Fort Worth location is rolling out a week's worth of freebies and discounts. On October 1, which is World Vegetarian Day, who knew, their two veggie burgers will be $5. On October 2, kids eat free with the purchase of an entrée.
On October 3, the first 100 guests get a free cheeseburger. October 4 is free custard day, as long as you buy an entrée.
Friday October 5 is the best, with free fries with purchase of an entrée. And on October 6, cheeseburgers are $5.
The Fort Worth BurgerFi will also serve a brand-new menu item: a grilled chicken breast sandwich with lettuce, tomato, and honey mustard BBQ sauce.
They're going into a space that was previously a pho place called Pho King Way — har dee har har — but you won't recognize it thanks to the eco-friendly updates it's received, including:
- Picnic and four-top tables made from over 700,000 upcycled milk jugs
- Industrial-style chairs with select red chairs made of 111 upcycled Coca-Cola bottles
- Wood panel walls made from Number 2 Southern pine lumber (the most renewable timber available, they say)
- A 10-ft fan that consumes 88% less energy
- 100% energy efficient LED lighting
It'll be open for lunch and dinner daily, from 11 am-10 pm Sunday-Thursday and until 11 pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
