Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth presents KAWS: Where the End Starts
The beginning of the end of "Where the End Starts" is this weekend at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, as KAWS' four month long exhibit comes to a close on Sunday. The exhibit features key paintings, sculptures, drawings, toys, and street art interventions that examine KAWS’ prolific career in depth.
Stage West Theatre presents Stupid F*cking Bird
There's tons of romantic heartache to go around in Stupid F*cking Bird, the latest from Stage West Theatre. The play is an irreverent and unabashedly provocative riff on Chekhov’s classic of the timeless battle between young and old, past and present, and the search for the true meaning of it all. The production runs through February 19.
Performing Arts Fort Worth presents Annie
One of the world’s best-loved musicals returns in time-honored form to Bass Performance Hall. This Annie is a brand-new incarnation of the iconic original, featuring such unforgettable songs as "It’s the Hard Knock Life," "Easy Street," "I Don’t Need Anything But You," plus the eternal anthem of optimism, "Tomorrow." The musical plays six times through Sunday.
Cliburn Sessions: Conrad Tao
The prodigiously talented Conrad Tao gave his first recital at age 4 and hasn’t looked back since, appearing worldwide as a pianist and composer. He was named a Presidential Scholar in the Arts by the White House, and he composed a special work for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra for the 50th anniversary of JFK's assassination. Tao plays at Live Oak Music Hall & Lounge.

Magnolia at the Modern: The Brand New Testament
The Brand New Testament is a 2015 fantasy/dark comedy that puts a spin on a familiar Bible tale. In the film, God lives in an apartment in Brussels with his meek wife and his 10-year-old daughter. The film is in French and German with English subtitles and includes controversial adult subject matter. It screens six times through Sunday at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.

2017 Texas Rangers Fan Fest
Spring training is only a month away, so it's time to get excited about the Texas Rangers again. The 2017 Texas Rangers Fan Fest at Globe Life Park in Arlington features autograph sessions with current Rangers players and coaches; interactive Q&A sessions; on-field events; pitching, hitting, and fielding clinics; and more. If that's not enough, there's also the Rangers Awards Dinner on Friday night at Gilley's Dallas.
Fort Worth Museum of Science and History presents "Storyland: A Trip Through Childhood Favorites"
Beloved children's books come alive as "Storyland: A Trip Through Childhood Favorites" opens at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History. "Storyland" provides imaginative, book-based experiences for children from birth to age 8. It transforms seven beloved and award-winning picture books into three-dimensional play and bilingual learning environments. It's on display through May 7.
Fort Worth Women's March
On Saturday, millions are gathering in Washington, D.C., for the Women's March on Washington. In solidarity with that march, women, men, and children are gathering at the Tarrant County Courthouse for a so-called "Sister March." The Women’s March is designed to send a message to the world and to the new administration on its first day in office that women's rights are human rights. There is also a planned march in Denton.
The Brand New Testament screens six times between January 20-22 at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.
