A new ranking from data provider HomeSnacks shows the Tarrant County city that's home to pro athletes, CEOs, and California transplants climbed from No. 8 on the 2020 list of Texasā wealthiest cities to No. 5 on this yearās list.
2. Burleson man is seventh in North Texas to be arrested in Capitol riot. A Burleson man was arrested for taking part in the Capitol riots on January 6. Nicholas DeCarlo, 30, was charged with entering a restricted building; intent to impede or disrupt the orderly conduct of Government business or official functions; and parading or demonstrating on Capitol grounds. He was arrested on January 26 and appeared in a Fort Worth court.
2. Favorite Texas grocer bags top 10 spot on global Best Places to Work list. Amid a list of some of the worldās most notable tech companies, airlines, and mega-brands, Texas' favorite grocer is the cream of the crop, at least according to its workers. Online job search company Glassdoor recently released the results of its 13th annual Employeesā Choice Awards, highlighting the best places to work, with San Antonio-based H-E-B claiming the No. 10 spot.
4. Nashville-style hot chicken restaurant plucks hot Fort Worth-area location. One of the most popular of the new Nashville hot chicken places in town is about to hit the Fort Worth area: Hot Chicks Nashville Hot Chicken will open a location in the Shops at Willow Park, a new-ish center west of Fort Worth at I-20 and Shops Boulevard, with an opening date set for April.
