For the first time since the onset of the pandemic, fall is filled with black-tie balls and chic, be-seen parties. Here are 15 all-important dates to circle in your social diary.
2. TCU grad launches uplifting swimwear for women with itty bitty fit issue. Dallas native and TCU grad Hartley Lynn launched SABAL, a new brand of swimwear for women with smaller chests, on August 22. Designed for AA to C cups, SABAL swimsuits are specially designed to retain their shape and feel in and out of the water. The line currently includes two bikini top styles and two bottom piece styles, plus one style of one-pieces.
3. Fort Worth's Southside suffers musical loss with club and record store closures. A live music venue on Fort Worth's Southside is closing: Main at South Side, which was a popular spot to see local musicians, comics, and other artists, is closing after five years. Its final date will be September 23, with a show featuring Royal Sons, North By North, and Summit Valley.
4. Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan to receive prestigious Texas Medal of Arts Award. Weatherford's own Taylor Sheridan will receive the state's highest honor for achievement in the arts, a Texas Medal of Arts Award, in 2023. The Yellowstone and 1883 creator — and honorary Fort Worthian — is one of 11 medal recipients announced at the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth on Wednesday, September 14.
