Weekend Event Planner
These are the 5 best things to do in Fort Worth this weekend
Truly cold weather may not have arrived in the area yet, but snow and ice are still in the forecast for one big event starting this weekend. Other choices include a water circus (indoor, thankfully), a visit from a legendary country musician, and ordinary people looking to prove their beer-making prowess.
Below are the best options for your precious free time Thursday through Sunday. Don't like what you see? Lucky for you, we have a much longer list of the city's best events.

Gaylord Texan presents ICE! featuring Christmas Around the World
Winter is still officially more than a month away, but there will be plenty of snow and ice on display at Gaylord Texan's annual ICE! exhibition. The event, which will be open every day through January 3, includes ice sculptures celebrating cultural traditions from around the world, two-story-tall ice slides, an interactive ice carving station, and a 12-lane snow tubing hill.
Cirque Italia: Aquatic Spectacular
For those who enjoy the human elements of the circus but prefer not to see animals on display, Cirque Italia's latest production is for you. The Aquatic Spectacular show is on a stage that holds 35,000 gallons of water and features spectacular acrobatic performances, high-energy juggling, musical clowns, and more. The circus will be at North East Mall in Hurst through Sunday.
Ray Wylie Hubbard in concert with Aaron Lee Tasjan
There are multiple Texas country music legends, but Ray Wylie Hubbard is as undisputed a legend as they come. Active since the early 1970s, Hubbard has worked with the likes of Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, and Jerry Jeff Walker. He'll play at the Live Oak Music Hall & Lounge in support of his new album, The Ruffian's Misfortune.

Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra presents Rachmaninoff's First
The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra's latest concert will highlight Sergei Rachmaninoff's First Symphony, a staple for symphonies due to its palpable sense of drama. Other works in the concert, which will be put on three times through Sunday at Bass Performance Hall, will be Maurice Ravel's Mother Goose Suite and Serge Koussevitzky's Concerto for Double Bass.
