The Arts Council of Fort Worth and AURORA are partnering to present "New Stories: New Futures," a uniquely Fort Worth art event featuring historic and modern perspectives, stories, and memories from the region. Each of the artists’ pieces highlights distinct narratives around the collective experiences of North Texans that complement the video artworks that will be projected onto Pioneer Tower by Refik Anadol and Quayola, which explore memories of Fort Worth and the region’s natural beauty.

One part of the project unfolds at Pioneer Tower, onto which international artists Refik Anadol and Quayola will project brand new artworks inspired by the city and its inhabitants. Their audiovisual artworks will consume all four sides of the 204-foot-tall tower.

The second part of the project will take place on the grounds of the Will Rogers Memorial Center in the form of a supporting exhibition curated by Dr. Lauren Cross, a Fort Worth–based creative entrepreneur, scholar and curator. This show will feature artworks by 10 North Texas new media artists, including Nick Bontrager, Ciara Bryant, Angela Faz, Jessica Fuentes, Jeff Gibbons, Jin-Ya Huang, Letitia and Sedrick Huckaby, Raul Rodriguez, and Bernardo Vallarino.

The art installations will be presented between 9 pm and 1 am.
