The Chamber Music Society of Fort Worth will open the 28th season concert series with the Berlin-based Atrium Quartet for their second appearance on the celebrated series. The highly popular pre-concert conversation with Laurie Shulman will begin in the auditorium at 1:15 pm.

Members of the quartet are violinists Anton Ilyunin and Sergey Malov, violist Dmitri Pitulko and cellist Anna Gorelova. Specialists in the Quartets of Shostakovich, they introduced the world’s first Shostakovic Marathon in 2013, performing the cycle of all 15 quartets in one day. The quartet members perform on unique, centuries-old instruments by Italian Luthiers.
