Fort Works Art presents Cordelia Bailey: "One Last Shot" and Dontrius Williams: "One More Shot," a photography exhibition featuring two local artists, Cordelia Bailey and Dontrius Williams.

Cordelia Bailey: "One Last Shot" will be exhibited in the main galleries, with black and white photos on the first floor and color on the second floor. Bailey has had a long and successful career. At 70 she is still exploring new ways to expand her art practice and this is Bailey’s first large format show and the first time her work will be seen outside of the glass and on new materials. Her photographic artworks fall roughly into three niches – traditional, as-shot imagery; manipulated images designed to spark emotion or humor and imaginative collages. Bailey uses photoshop in clever ways to trick the eye and make the viewer wonder what is real and what is imagined.

Simultaneously, the black and white photographs by Dontrius Williams will be shown in the artist’s first solo show Dontrius Williams: "One More Shot." Williams is a 30-year-old Fort Worth-based self-taught photographer. Born in High Point, North Carolina, Williams moved to Fort Worth in 2011 and started making photos digitally in 2012 then went strictly film in 2014. He shoots 35mm, 120 film and 4x5 film. Williams is part of a growing photography movement and often collaborates with other artists. The photographs in "One More Shot" focus on the details of everyday life that we often miss moving too fast.
