Gallery 440 will present Gerald Bell for a solo exhibition of his newest body of work, "Everything AND the Kitchen Sink. The collection reflects a life lived at the intersection of multiple identities, as a bipolar, medicated, neurodivergent person of color.
Through vibrant paintings filled with distinctive characters, playful animals, and a pop-art–inspired, spray-painted aesthetic, Bell transforms his self-proclaimed "weirdness" into a universal visual language. Art is his most honest form of communication, offering abstract narratives that invite candid, unapologetic conversations about what it’s like to be Gerald. He paints it all, a little bit of everything for everyone, including the kitchen sink.
Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on view through May 1.
