Giant Runt Gallery will present "Amorphous Structure," a solo exhibition showcasing the work of Joshua Hargrave.
Hargrave's glass sculptures explore the language of architecture through distortion and fluidity. With a background in construction, he begins with structured forms - towers, checkers, geometric patterns, that he then warps, melts, or collapses. On a molecular level, glass is an amorphous structure, neither fully liquid nor fully crystallized. Hargrave sees that in-between quality as a metaphor for navigating the world: not everything has to fit neatly into categories. His work embraces that space of ambiguity, where structure and chaos aren’t opposites, but collaborators.
Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display through June 21.
